Exceptional Software has developed a wide variety of BPM solutions for a wide variety of clients. Some of our solutions have included:

  • Mission Planning/Tracking System – This is a critical solution for a DoD special unit to manage their missions from concept of operations through execution and after action reviews. This mission tracking system uses workflow to manage planning and preparations for missions to include allocating resources, providing support and logistics, and ensuring pre-deployment requirements are complete. The mission data, in combination with overall unit operations, troop disbursements, significant events, and publishing, is displayed in a real-time visual Common Operating Picture (COP). We also implemented a virtual "Case Folder" view of all the data collected and associated with the process. This view provides quick access to all data associated with a particular instance of the process (e.g., data entry, documents, discussions, comments, feedback, status).
  • Task/Action Tracking System – Effective Task and Action management can mean the difference between success and failure. When everyday actions that are critical to national security and agency missions are tasked from Congress, Federal agencies, and internal agency organizations, an agency needs complete visibility into how it manages and measures those tasks and actions. Exceptional Software has developed an enterprise-wide action tracking system to manage all actions and correspondence. We manage all structured and unstructured business processes, providing visibility into the status of all actions from an office level to an agency level. Additionally, we have developed various management dashboards and metrics collection and analysis tools to provide data needed to continually improve the processes.
  • IT Acquisition/Management Solution – Exceptional Software has designed, developed, and implemented a BPM solution to modernize and automate the process used to select, approve, publish, and acquire Information Technology products and services for a Department of Defense agency. This solution streamlines the process for the selection, evaluation, approval, and purchase of products and services. Shopping card, catalog, and approved products inventory management functions are also integrated into the process, thereby providing an easy–to-use interface for end users.
