Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
GIS is more than just maps – GIS tools help analysts to visualize raw data of all kinds in an accessible, intuitive manner. This type of visual data interpretation is essential to the day-to-day operations of a variety of industries: there are military, environmental, financial, security, and architectural applications, to name a few. GIS technology creates, manages, analyzes, displays, and disseminates geographically-linked data in an approachable, visual format.
GIS Specialization.
Exceptional Software provides more than a decade of experience with government contracts, and has been a prime contractor on GIS projects for more than seven years. Our business partners include other industry leaders such as ESRI (Environmental Systems Research Institute) Inc., the leading provider of GIS enterprise software, and Analytical Graphics, Inc. (AGI), a creator of innovative software for air, land, sea, and space analysis. We have successfully provided GIS solutions to all types of clients, including desktop administration, server integration, portal integration, analyst-friendly spatially-enabled databases, and analysis tools.
GIS Tools.
Our experience spans the range of common GIS tools, including the ESRI suite and Google Earth. We have also created our own GIS product, EarthSpector™. EarthSpector consists of a server component and several client components. The 2-D and Lite clients are currently available, and the 3-D client is in development.
Geodatabase Administration.
The geodatabase is a complex which supports both common spatial data types (vector, raster, images, survey, etc.) and also a variety of historical or real-time geographically-linked data types. Our team can fulfill your geodatabase needs, as well as integrating the necessary support tools. We can develop, implement, and support the web-based interfaces you need in order for the most recent geospatial databases to work with your secure, internal, and external networks.
Information Analysis.
Geographic information is more than displaying points on a map; it is about understanding information relationships. It is estimated that over 75% of all data contains some geographic information. Our GIS consultants provide ways to display this data, and can also examine, analyze, and create visualization relationships to address customer needs and project trends. From selecting points and shapes of interest, to creating and maintaining public resources, our GIS experts are often called on to make decisions on geographic system issues.
