Summer Internship


The Exceptional Software Internship Program is an intensive, technical 10 week Summer Program for currently enrolled university students in STEM majors. Each summer intern selected will focus on expanding ESS knowledge into new technologies and existing technologies core to our business. Throughout the internship, interns will have the opportunity to explore emerging technologies in the areas of Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, virtualization and cloud computing, web application development, or geospatial applications and visualization. Interns will be working closely with and under the guidance of experienced ESS software engineers, developers, and system administrators.  

In addition to developing prototypes and producing technical research papers, interns will be expected to complete a performance review and give a formal presentation to executive leadership on their internship experience.     


The Exceptional Software Summer Internship Program is a technical Internship Program and as such we are looking for students currently enrolled in a four-year university program in the STEM Majors.  These majors include, but are not limited to, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, and Geographic Information Systems.

In addition we also ask that you meet the following qualifications:

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and written skills 
  • Self-starter and the ability to multitask
  • US Citizen
  • Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0 
  • Transportation to and from internship experience 
  • Must be able to commit to 10 weeks of internship
