Giving Back to Employees and the Community
Exceptional’s employees are a group of talented professionals who maintain products and services of the highest quality for their clients. In return for their valuable work, the company offers award-winning benefits. Exceptional Software has been consistently recognized as one of Baltimore’s “Greatest Places to Work” as well as recognized by the Baltimore Business Journal for being a company among the “Best Places to Work” in Baltimore. Employee benefits include family health and dental insurance with premiums paid, tuition assistance, and paid time off for holidays, vacation, bereavement, and maternity leave. In addition, employees enjoy events each year such as a holiday party, a company picnic, and golf outings.
The company’s generosity extends beyond its employees. Exceptional Software founders have supported numerous charitable organizations in Maryland, including the Baltimore School of Arts, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, local schools, and local churches. The company has supported employees’ charitable initiatives ranging from Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. to missionary work. Cofounder Bowen serves on the boards of directors of several nonprofit organizations that deal with issues such as youth outreach, special concerns for women, public safety, education, children with learning disabilities, and others.
Especially unique to Exceptional Software’s vision, however, is employee-initiated support for a large number of charitable events. The company has sponsored Walk MS for multiple-sclerosis research, Breast Cancer Awareness Marathons, Girl Scout activities, and numerous other events that employees have personally brought to the attention of Bowen and Stasko for support.
With Exceptional Software Strategies’ capabilities, we impact the mission. With our people, we impact the community.
